Music Journalism

Writing about music is like dancing about architecture.

Thought to be originated by comedian Martin Mull, this quote best summarizes my feelings on music journalism. I strive to shine a light on music that makes me feel something special, and I hope that each piece of writing I share with the world connects with someone in one way or another. I have a soft spot for indie rock, alternative pop, folk, and singer-songwriter music – a good strings or saxophone moment will always get me.

I recently began conducting interviews for Melodic Mag and will be managing Toronto-based indie publication Southport Magazine’s blog throughout summer 2025 and beyond.

I’ve been published in on-campus organizations The Hofstra Chronicle and Her Campus as well as on independent music publication Sparky’s former blog site.  I am open to all opportunities for entertainment journalism work, and my samples are linked below.
